Prep Instructions Listing
Overview:
The Prep Instructions Listing is designed for a kitchen prep person who wants printed instructions to use to assist them in preparing a recipe item or items. This feature can also be used to create a "Recipe Book".
Things to know!
- This function will only be accessible and visible to users who are given access to this function.
- Prep Instructions can be entered in the Recipe Item Setup function. For more information please click this link and review the Recipe Preparation Instructions section: Recipe Item Setup.
- This listing is designed to assist line prep people in preparing a recipe item or items. It can also be utilized to create a "Recipe Book".
- This listing can run for a specific Prep Station.
- This listing can run for a specific Sales Category.
- This listing can run for a specific Recipe Item.
- There are two print format types for this report.
Prep Instructions Listing:
To access the Prep Instructions Listing navigate to Recipes & Sales>Listings>Prep Instructions Listing. If you select the Prep Instructions Listing, the below criteria screen will display. In the below example we have clicked on the drop-down for Prep Instructions Format:
Recipe Prep Station: If you have set up and assigned Prep Stations to recipe items, then you can select a prep station and only Prep Instructions for recipes assigned to that prep station will list.
Recipe Category: You can select to only list Prep Instructions for recipe items that are assigned to a specific recipe category. An example might be the sales category called "Desserts".
Recipe Item: If you would like to see Prep Instructions specific to a single Recipe Item, then utilize the drop-down to select the Recipe Item here.
Prep Instructions Format: The "Standard" format is the default and it prints as shown in the example listing below. The "Larger font, Ingredient Qty, and Name reversed" option will print using a larger font and it will put the recipe unit quantity information in front of the ingredient name. Please see the second example listing below for an example.
Example Listing (Standard Format):
The below example is listing the prep instructions (through the first 5 steps) for the recipe item "Breakfast Buritto" using the standard format:
Example Listing (Larger Font Format):
The below example is listing the prep instructions for the recipe item "Breakfast Buritto" using a larger font and reversing the Item Name and the Recipe Unit Quantity order.
