New GL Account Validation
Overview:
New GL Account Validation is a feature to view and validate new General Ledger (GL) Accounts that have been imported.
COGS-Well provides a Receiving Audit Service that performs New GL Account Validation for you and as part of your standard Subscription Fee. Unless you opt out of using this service, you will not need to know how to perform New GL Account Validation. Please click this link if you would like more information on the Receiving Audit Service.
Things to know!
- Only Users who have been given access to this feature will be able to see or access it. This is typically a System Administrator.
- The COGS-Well support team typically manages this process for you.
- You are notified when a new GL Acccount has been imported on the Dashboard in the Alerts area.
New GL Account Validation:
To access GL Account Validation, use the Sidebar to navigate to the Manage Company menu option and then select this feature. Upon selection, a "Find Grid" will display menus that have already been created.
You can also click the ">" button from a Dashboard alert that you have new GL Accounts that require validation to select this feature. Either way, you will see a grid like below that will include the new information:
Select edit to validate a new GL Account and a screen similar to the one below will display. Make any necessary edits and select save:
