Production Journal Report
Overview:
The Production Journal reports the debit and credit adjustments resulting from Production made over a selected date range. It can be used to audit the transactions before posting them to your General Ledger. An example of the journal is shown below:
Things to know!
- This journal will only be accessible and visible to users who are given access to this report.
- The Production Journal will list all Production credit and debit activity for a selected date range.
- If you are logged into a specific site, the report will only include activity for that site. If you are logged into your company then the report will show all activity for all sites.
- If you are set up to export Production adjustments to your General Ledger, you can use this journal to view the credit and debit adjustments before exporting. The Production export feature is in the Accounting features on the main Navigation menu.
Report Parameters
To run a Production Journal, use the Sidebar to navigate to the Production menu option and then select the Production Journal from the submenu. Upon selection, a report parameters screen like the one below will display.
Parameters: The parameters for the Production Journal are a beginning date and an end date. Typically, these dates will reflect one of your accounting periods. There is also an option to run this Journal in Summary (GL Account totals only), or in Detail (include each Item transaction by GL Account).
Production Journal Report - Summary:
An example of the Production Journal Report in Summary mode is below. It shows the Sites involved in the Production transaction(s), the cost Category or Categories, the General Ledger Account number, and the credit or debit amount.
Production Journal Report - Detail:
An example of the Production Journal Report in Detail mode is below. It shows the Sites involved in the transfer transaction(s), the cost Category or Categories, the General Ledger Account number, the Item Detail, and the credit or debit amount.
