Site Groups
Overview:
Site Groups enable you to run reports for only the Sites that are assigned to a Site Group. For example, if you want to run reports that consolidate all of your Sites other than your Commissary Site, then you can set up a Site Group that does not include your Commissary and select this Site Group when you run the report.
Another example is if you sometimes want to report on the Sites located in your Northeast Region and not include your Southeast Region Sites, then you can set up a Site Group for your Northeast Region.
One more example is if you have restaurants located in malls and others that are free-standing. If you wanted to run reports on the mall restaurants only, you could set up a Site Group for your mall restaurants and only assign the mall Sites to this Site Group.
Things to Know:
- The use of Site Groups is optional.
- Site Groups must be set up via Company>Setup>Site Groups.
- There is no limit to the number of Site Groups that can be set up.
- There is a list of the reports that include the option to run for a selected Site Group, below.
Setup Site Groups:
To access Site Groups, use the Sidebar to navigate to the Manage Company menu option and then select this feature. You will land on a "Find Grid" for Site Groups like the one shown below. Any Site Groups that have already been set up will display:
Add a new Site Group: Click the blue "Add" button to add a new Site Group:
Group Name: Enter a Group Name for your new Site Group. Make sure that is descriptive of your group so other users will recognize it.
Sites: Use the Sites tab to select the Sites to assign to the new Site Group. The Site selection uses our standard Dual List Box. In the below example, we are selecting all of the restaurant sites, but not the commissary site.
Save: Save your new Site Group when you are finished.
Supported Reports for Site Groups:
If a report that supports Site Groups is selected, and if you have configured at least one Site Group, then the option to report for a selected Site Group will be included in the report parameters. In the below example, we have clicked on the Site Group drop-down to select a Site Group:
