Release Notes - Version 24.11.02
Overview:
Release 24.11.02 went live on 12/19/2024. The primary updates in this release are for our user interface. There is also a new option to include items not assigned to storage locations in an inventory group using Storage Locations as its item source.
- An updated color theme removes the gray background and softens the colors on the dashboard widgets.
- The Sidebar now defaults to being pinned open (but it can be unpinned if desired).
- Inventory Groups with Storage Locations as the item source can now include unassigned items.
Color Theme and Sidebar Updates:
The background color now displays white because the gray has been removed. In addition, the colors used by the widgets on the dashboards have been softened. Finally, the blue used by the main navigation bar has been updated. In addition to the updated color theme, the Sidebar now opens and defaults to being pinned open. Please see the examples below:
Include Unassigned Items in Inventory Groups that are used for Counts:
Earlier this year, COGS-Well released features to make it easier to use count worksheets and enter counts for different areas such as the restaurant and the bar. These features allow an inventory group to be created for an area and for a source to be selected for the items. The source can be Departments, Categories, or Storage Locations - Using Groups for Counts in Multiple Areas.
If Storage Locations are used as the item source for a group, there is now an option to include items that have not been assigned (unassigned) to a storage location in the group. This will result in the unassigned items showing up on the count worksheet and count entry display when the group is selected. An example of selecting unassigned items is shown below:
