GL Posting Journal
Overview:
The GL Posting Journal lists the debit and credit entries, by GL Account, that should be made to update financial information from your POS to your general ledger. Adjustments are reported for each GL Account as debit or credit values. If you are directly posting financial totals to your POS, this report will show you the values that will post. The configuration for this report is managed via the Financial GL Account Mapping feature in the Financial Setup features.
Things to Know:
- The POS+ product is required to provide the Financial functions.
- Only users that have been given access to this report will see it.
- This report (journal) enables you to audit POS financial values and make sure they are in balance before you post them to your General Ledger. Or, if you are not posting to your General Ledger then it details the entries that should be made.
- If you plan to automatically post the credit and debit values to your general ledger, an interface to your accounting system is required.
- The GL Account Map can be accessed via Financial>Setup>Financial GL Account Mapping.

Financial GL Posting Journal Report:
Navigate to Financial>Reports>GL Posting Journal. If we select to run the GL Posting Journal, then we will see a report options display as shown in the example below:
Site: If you are logged into your company then you will be prompted to select a Site. Use the drop-down to select your desired Site. If you leave this field blank, it will report all of your Sites.
Begin and End Dates: Pick the date or date range using the drop-downs.
Totals by Day: Check this box if you are running for a date range and you want to isolate each day.
