Conversion Factors
When you change the pack size or count units for an inventory or combined item, or the batch size or count unit for a recipe item, the item's historical transactions need to be updated to reflect the change. Otherwise, historical reports will not have accurate costs, quantities, or values.
To ensure your historical data remains accurate, COGS-Well will prompt you for a "Conversion Factor" when you make pack size, batch size, or count unit changes to an item.
We have created FAQ articles for making pack size, batch size, or count unit changes to inventory items, combined items, or recipe items. It is very important to enter the correct conversion factors when making changes so please be sure to review these articles.
Inventory Extension Report for All Sites: There is now a checkbox at the bottom of the report parameters display for the Extension Report that can be selected to run the extension for multiple sites so you don't have to run the report separately for each site.
Receiving By Combined Item Report: The Receiving By Combined Item Report will report the receiving activity for a combined item as well as the items that are linked to a combined item. Please click this link to the Receiving by Combined Item report for more information or to see the report.
Missing Item Counts Listing: If you operate multiple sites, this listing will give you a quick and easy way to see if any of your sites have not entered an inventory count. Please click this link to the Missing Item Counts Listing for more information.
