Accounting - Financial Journal Export

Overview:

If you are utilizing the COGS-Well POS Financials features (POS+), then you can optionally export Financial and Statistical information collected from your POS system, to your General Ledger. This feature facilitates the export. Please click this link if you would like more information on the POS Financial features

Things to know!

  • This feature will only be available and visible to Users that are given access to it. 
  • Your POS interface for Financial totals will need to be set up by COGS-Well before you can use this feature. 
  • Your POS Financial Setup will need to be completed before you can use this feature. 
  • The name of your Accounting system will be included in the Feature name. 
  • If you want to see the credit and debit adjustments that will be included in the export and make sure they are in balance, then run the GL Posting Journal report in the POS Financial Reports. 

Financial Journal Export

To export a Financial Journal from GOGS-Well to your General Ledger system, navigate to Accounting > Financial Journal Export. The name of your Accounting system should show before the hyphen.  After selection, a Criteria Tab screen like the one below will be displayed. 

Criteria Tab: 

Begin Date: Select the Begin Date (beginning date range) for the transactions that you want to export.

End Date: Select the End Date (ending date range) for the transactions that you want to export to your accounts payable system. 

Next or Close: The next button will advance you to the Entry tab. The close button will close this transaction. 

Journals for Export Tab: 

After you have selected your criteria, click on the next button on the criteria tab or click on the Journals for Export tab.  Data for the Criteria you entered will display. If nothing displays that means there is no data for your criteria. 

Export or Close:

Export: If you are ready to export all the Journals that are displayed, then select Export.

Close: Will Close the transaction.
