Release Notes - Version 25.01.01
Overview:
Release 25.01.01 went live on February 5, 2025. The primary enhancements in this release expand the options when Suggested Quantity Types are used to suggest quantities for the ordering, transfer, prep, or production worksheet and entry features. There is also an important enhancement to the Mass Edit features for Inventory, Combined, and Recipe Items to address removing items from a Site.
A list of all of the enah in this release is below and added detail for some of the new options is provided after the bullet list.
- Suggested Quantities can now be shown by Count Unit on worksheets and entry displays.
- Usage Projections now include an option for an adjustment percentage adjustment.
- Calculated On-Hand now has an Override option.
- PAR Levels can now be entered in Count Units in addition to Pack or Batch Size.
- Last On-Hand and Count quantities are now also an option for the Order by Item features.
- Transfers can be prevented for items in selected Inventory Categories (Liquor for example).
- Mass Edit Items now removes items only for the selected site.
Show Suggested Quantities in Count Units:
The suggested quantities and their calculations for orders, transfers, prep, and production are normally shown on worksheets and entry displays by Pack or Batch Size. There is now an option to show suggested quantities by Count Unit. This option can be enabled in the Suggested Quantity Types (SQTs) feature as shown below:
The above example uses an SQT that has been configured to show suggested quantities for orders (orders have been selected on the second row). The same option to show suggestion detail in Count Units exits when transfers, prep, or production is selected. We can, therefore, use an SQT for orders as an example for all.
Please note that this option does not require the selection of the "Use Projected Usage Quantity" option. Please click the following link if you would like more information about Suggested Quantities Using Count Units.
Projection Adjustment Percentage:
A Usage Projection based on transaction history can be included in the suggested quantity calculation for the ordering, transfer, prep, or production worksheet and entry features. To do this, Projected Usage is included in a Suggested Quantity Type (SQT) configuration and the SQT is selected when running a worksheet or entering quantities.
The worksheet and entry features for ordering, transfers, prep, and production now include the option to add a "Projection Adjustment Percentage". If an adjustment is entered, it will increase or decrease the suggested quantity calculation by the percentage entered. It makes sense to enter an adjustment when business is predicted to be slower or busier than normal.
The example below shows the Criteria display for Entering Prep. The displays for entering orders, transfer requests, prep, and production will follow the same logic:
A Suggested Quantity Type named "Prep" has been selected in the example above. This SQT includes projected usage so it triggered the display for a Projection Adjustment Percentage. A decrease is entered as a negative percentage and an increase is entered as a positive percentage. If no adjustment is required, then leave the field at 0.00%.
An adjustment percentage will apply to every item on the entry grid display. For example, if the unadjusted projected usage for Baha Chicken Sauce is 10 gallons and an adjustment of 10% is entered, then the projected usage on the prep entry display will show 11 gallons. If the adjustment is -10%, then the projected usage will show as 9 gallons.
If you want to view an entry grid display without any adjustment (or before you make adjustments), there is also an option to make a projection adjustment on the entry grid displays for orders, transfer requests, prep, and production. Below is an example using an entry grid display for Prep:
If the % Icon in the upper right on the toolbar is clicked, a projection adjustment can be entered while on the entry grid display. In the example below, we have clicked the icon to bring up the change adjustment percentage window:
The current projection adjustment percentage shows the most recent adjustment to the unadjusted projection amount. The new projection adjustment will make the entered percentage change to the unadjusted projection amount. Changes are always made to the unadjusted projection quantities.
Override Calculated On-Hand:
Any time a Suggested Quantity Type (SQT) is selected for an order, transfer, prep, or production worksheet or entry feature, a calculated on-hand quantity will be added to the worksheet or entry grid display and it is used as the basis for the suggested quantity calculation. There is now an option to override the calculated on-hand quantity and a change will recalculate the suggested quantity.
In the example above for prep entry, the Calculated On-Hand and Override columns are highlighted. Blanched Broccolini has a calculated on-hand quantity of 1.01 gallons and the suggested quantity to prepare is 2 Gallons. If we know that there are actually 2 gallons on hand, then we can enter a 2 in the Override column.
In the example above, we have entered 2 gallons as the override on-hand quantity for Blanched Brocollini and we can see that the Suggested Quantity to prepare has now changed to 1 gallon. Please note that any override made on an item on the entry grid will not change the calculated on-hand for that item beyond this grid.
Mass Edit Items - Remove From Selected Site Only
The Delete Icon on The Mass Edit Items (Inventory, Recipes, and Combined Items) previously deleted the Item from all Sites. If a User is logged into a specific Site, the description for this Icon when you hover over it now reads, "Remove Selected Items from Site" and if selected, it will only remove items from the Site the User is logged into:
An Administrator, when logged in at the company level, can still use this icon to delete items from all Sites. This option has been changed to prevent Site Users at companies with multiple sites in the same database from accidentally deleting items that are still being used at other Sites.
