Company Settings - Waste Options
Transfer Options - Overview:
The Waste primary feature enables you to record, report, and track the quantity of Inventory and/or Recipe items that are wasted. Examples of waste are spoilage, accidents, overproduction, etc.
The Waste Options include Waste Settings and Waste Entry Display Options. For more information about Waste, please click this link to the FAQ article on Waste. The Waste Tab in Company Settings is shown below:
Waste Tab - Waste Settings:
Require Waste Reasons: Waste Reasons will require a user to include a reason for each item entered in the Waste Entry feature. Waste Reasons will also show up on the Wate Report. If Waste is enabled, Waste Reasons can be set up via the Manage Waste menu option on the Sidebar.
Require an Inventory Group: You can set up an Inventory Group for waste purposes and assign Inventory Items to this group. If you would like to require a User who is entering a waste count to first select an Inventory Group, you can check this box.
Require Transfer Template: You can set up a Transfer Template for waste purposes and assign Inventory or Recipe Items to this Template. If you would like to require a User who is entering a waste count to first select a Transfer Template, you can check this box.
Waste Tab - Entry Display Options:
The Entry Display options for the Waste Tab in Company Settings are on the right side of the display as shown in the example below:
Hide Pack Cost: Check this box if you do not want an Item's Pack Cost to display on the Waste Worksheet or Waste Entry features.
Hide Pack Size and Quantity: Check this box if you do not want an Item's Pack Size or a Pack Size Quantity to display on the Waste Worksheet or Waste Entry features (the default is to show both Packs and Count Units). If you select to hide the Pack Size and Pack Quantity, then just the Count Unit Size and Quantity will be utilized.
Hide Count Unit Size and Quantity: Check this box if you do not want an Item's Count Unit Size or a Count Unit Quantity to display on the Waste Worksheet or Waste Entry features (the default is to show both Packs and Count Units). If you select to hide the Count Unit Size and Quantity, then just the Pack Size and Quantity will be utilized.
Hide Comments: Check this box if you do not want the Entry features to display the Comments for a wasted item.
Save or Exit:
Select save to save any additions or changes. Select exit to exit the function.
